The focus of the IDRBT Library is on: 

  • Acquisition of all types of documents, documentation and document delivery. 

  • Search the in-house database and other CD-ROM databases to answer specific queries. 

  • Provide literature search and SDI (Selective Dissemination of Information) services. 

  • Identify and subscribe important e-mail/Internet-based journals/newsletters 

  • Surf the Internet to download relevant reports and papers on demand or in anticipation. 

  • Correspond with the researchers worldwide for specific publications

    • All the activities of the library are automated by implementing the Total Library Management System (TLMS). Retrospective conversion and migration of data previously saved as a CDS/ISIS database into TLMS has also been completed. Users have easy and instant access to the bibliographic details of the library resources through the Web based Online Public Access Catalogue (OPAC) module provided by TLMS. Literature and SDI services are being provided periodically, and more than 120 newsletters available as e-mail editions were identified and subscribed. Latest and relevant reports from RBI, BIS, NBER, etc. are being identified and downloaded periodically. The videocassette collection is also available to the user community.
