Certificate Policy and Practice Statement

This project was conceived keeping in view that IDRBT would be acting as a Certifying Authority for the Indian Banking and Financial Sector. A Certifying Authority takes care of a huge number of tasks and one needs to define them before embarking on it. Thus the Certification Policy and Practice Statement has to be in place before the start of the operations.

The chief objective of this project was to draw up the framework of the Certificate Policy and Practice Statement in such a way that it meets the specific requirements of the Institute’s Certifying Authority. Further, the project also studies the Certification Services over INFINET and provides guidelines. Consisting of two parts, this project deals with Certificate Policy and Practice Statement for Banks, and Certification Services over INFINET.
