V. N.
Sastry is Associate Professor at IDRBT, Hyderabad. He joined the
Institute as Assistant Professor on November
18, 1999 after serving as Senior Lecturer for almost 7 years at the
Department of Mathematics and Computer Applications at the National
Institute of Technology (formerly Regional Engineering College), Tiruchirappalli,
Tamilnadu. He has obtained his Masters and Ph.D. from the Indian Institute
of Technology, Kharagpur in 1987 and 1994 respectively. The main areas of his research interest and consultancy are Network Design, Routing and Access Control, Multiple Criteria Decision Support Systems, Risk Modeling and Asset Liability Management, Soft Computing and Fuzzy Control Applications, E-Learning. He has about 15 years of Research and 12 years of Teaching Experience. He has guided two Ph.D. scholars, about 25 postgraduate projects (M.Sc., M.C.A., M.Tech., PGP-BTM) and has more than 20 research publications in reputed journals and conferences. |

He is recognized by the Department of Computer and Information Sciences, Central University of Hyderabad; Department of Management Science, Central University of Hyderabad; Department of Computer Science, Osmania University; Hyderabad and Department of Mathematics, Bharathidasan University, to guide Ph.D. students. |
